Fluoridation Statistics
Since community water
fluoridation began in 1945, it has been demonstrated to be a safe and
cost-effective way to prevent tooth decay. It has been identified by the
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as one of 10 great public health
achievements of the 20th century.
Water fluoridation
